Job summary

Arizona Country Club in Phoenix is seeking a Seasonal Assistant to support the merchandise operation and golf shop. You will assist with receiving, displaying, and special orders, while promoting the game of golf through various programs and supporting tournaments.

The role requires interaction with members, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work varying schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High-school diploma or GED required.
College or equivalent on-the-job training preferred.
PGA Level 1 completed or actively working toward completion required.
1–2 years experience in a country club or high-end facility preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Jonas and Golf Genius or POS/tournament software preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily general golf shop operations.
Actively participate in the merchandise operation.
Assist Merchandiser with receiving, preparing and displaying merchandise.
Assist with merchandise special orders from initial contact to member possession.
Promote golf through various programs.
Process golf transactions on Jonas POS.
Create and implement tee time requests.
Check in members/guests for daily play.
Manage member handicaps through GHIN.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Support Head Golf Professional and assist in the pro shop as needed.
Open/close golf shop and enforce golf rules and policies.
Provide excellent customer service and proper phone etiquette.
Assist with golf tournaments setup, rules and scoring.
Support the country club as needed.
Handle special projects as assigned by management.
