Tend’s Assistant Golf Course Superintendent in Florida is a hands-on leadership role supporting the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain world-class play. You’ll help oversee turf, irrigation, and drainage, mentor staff, and ensure maintenance meets safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years golf course maintenance and supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated agronomic plan development and task management.
• Strong budget planning and fiscal management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work nights/weekends and flexible hours.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget and operating plan.
• Plan staffing schedules to balance quality and cost.
• Supervise maintenance to keep the course in top playing condition.
• Oversee drainage, irrigation, pumping and water reservoir systems.
• Supervise turf, plant care and Integrated Pest Management.
• Oversee course construction projects and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards across facilities.
• Maintain inventories and procurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations.
• Hire, coach, and evaluate staff; manage payroll and performance.
• Maintain records and report on operations.
• Stay updated on industry developments.
• Perform other duties as appropriate.
