Job summary

St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to assist in maintaining two championship courses and practice facilities.

You will supervise 15–25 staff, coordinate with the Superintendent and Director of Golf Course Maintenance, and help ensure peak conditioning and presentation. Ideal candidate has 4–7 years in golf course work with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and a Turfgrass Management background.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management preferred.
• 4–7 years in golf course maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Florida Pest License or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of turf equipment and maintenance practices.
• Proven leadership, training and communication skills.
• Balance hands-on work with crew delegation and safety.

Responsibilities

• Daily course setup, conditioning, and inspection for peak playability.
• Supervise, evaluate and discipline agronomy staff.
• Manage irrigation systems (Rain Bird) and related maintenance.
• Plan fertilizer/chemical programs, inventory and applications.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and assist budget planning.
• Coordinate with departments to meet scheduling needs.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce procedures.
• Support capital projects and renovations as needed.
