Job summary

The Scion Group seeks an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team at a student housing community. You will support the General Manager and lead on-site operations, guest experience, and financial performance.

You will mentor staff, manage resident accounts and turnover, coordinate maintenance, and ensure policy compliance. This role requires strong communication, detail orientation, and a customer-centric mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional written and verbal communicator.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• 1+ years’ experience in living communities/property management.
• Proficient with Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coaching for staff performance and foster a positive team environment.
• Assist with attracting, hiring, retaining and training exceptional team members.
• Ensure onsite staff are trained and compliant with Fair Housing, safety and company policies.
• Manage development and adherence to property onsite schedule, including after-hours on-call shifts.
• Prepare, respond and advise on community aspects including market conditions, policies and emergencies.
• Deliver notices and files evictions in compliance with policy and local ordinances.
• Lead turnover planning and execution, manage resident accounts and billing, and document audits.
• Manage customer sales interactions and drive marketing opportunities.
• Oversee move-in/out processes and ensure smooth operations.
