Sally’s Apizza in Norwalk, CT is seeking an Assistant General Manager to work closely with the General Manager and run daily restaurant operations according to company standards and policies.

You will supervise front and back‑of‑house staff, engage with guests, mentor managers, train hourly teams, manage labor and inventory, and help ensure a smooth, hospitality‑driven service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Technical - Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Brink POS preferred) and Experience using third‑party delivery services.
• Language: English, Basic Spanish (preferred but not required)
• Experience - A minimum of 2 years of proven success as a manager in a restaurant setting. Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations.
• Certifications - ServeSafe Certified
• Work Environment - 90% of week on active shifts; ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs; availability days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsabilités

• Embody Sally’s Apizza culture and brand history.
• Be direct point of contact for front and back‑of‑house team on a shift basis.
• Function as the General Manager when the GM is not on shift.
• Understand location sales forecast, labor goals, and COGS budget.
• Mentor and coach managers to succeed within Sally’s restaurant environment.
• Train hourly staff to perform at a high level.
• Build relationships with managers and employees to foster loyalty and teamwork.
• Hold staff accountable to SOPs for all front and back‑of‑house positions.
• Help solve guest‑related issues.
• Maintain a presence in dining room for smooth service.
• Conduct daily pre‑shift meetings with hourly staff.
• Communicate daily operational updates to the GM.
• Interview and hire new hourly staff; administer progressive discipline.
• Open and close the restaurant per company standards.
• Conduct End‑of‑period inventory counts and enter counts into R365.
• Assist with weekly payroll processing.
• Place orders with vendors according to forecasted sales and par levels.
