Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for a high-volume upscale restaurant and hospitality operation in New Orleans. The role leads the front-of-house team, works closely with the General Manager, and ensures exceptional service standards across all guest touchpoints.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of leadership in similar environments, extensive knowledge of wine and beverages, and a track record of developing high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in high-volume upscale restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and elevated service.
• Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing teams.
• Hands-on leadership of front-of-house operations.
• Solid understanding of labor management, scheduling, inventory, and cost controls.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and guest experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant and hospitality operations under the General Manager.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and lead by example.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop service staff.
• Foster a culture of genuine hospitality and guest experiences.
• Oversee service standards and guest journeys across the venue.
• Train servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
• Manage scheduling, labor, inventory, and cost controls.
• Oversee beverage inventory, ordering, and procedures.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership for food & beverage service.
• Engage guests through table touches and service recovery.
• Develop and refine operating procedures and service standards.
• Partner with events teams to deliver private events.
