Job summary

The American Cancer Society, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day operations at the Hope Lodge. You will oversee guest relations, administrative functions, and staff supervision to deliver a welcoming and safe lodging experience.

This role requires strong communication, payroll oversight, and compliance with ACS standards. Occasional travel, evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Coursework/certification in hospitality management or office administration preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in nonprofit management, hospitality, or healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily lodge operations, including guest relations and administrative functions.
• Supervise and mentor lodge staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with ACS policies, training programs, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate payroll, accounts payable, and office supply management.
• Identify and implement operational process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Assist in occupancy management and guest satisfaction initiatives.
