Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New Jersey to support the General Manager in daily operations across its travel plazas. You will lead team members, uphold brand standards, supervise staff, and ensure customer satisfaction while managing cash, inventory, and policy compliance.

The role emphasizes developing leadership skills, coaching employees, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management skills with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with business acumen.
• Experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise non-management staff, assign work, coach shifts supervisors, and drive store operations.
• Act as acting GM in absence of General Manager.
