Doherty Enterprises, Wendy's in Queens, seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations, coach a high-performing team, and drive guest satisfaction. You’ll collaborate with the General Manager to uphold service standards, manage costs, and foster a positive, results-driven culture.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of restaurant management in high-volume settings, strong leadership and communication skills, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume quick service or fast casual environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing labor, food cost, and restaurant financial performance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in all day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding guest service, food quality, and cleanliness.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
• Coaching and mentoring Shift Managers and Crew Members to achieve performance goals.
• Drive sales, labor, food cost, and profitability through strong operational execution.
• Manage schedules to support business needs while controlling labor costs.
• Maintain inventory, ordering, and food safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with operating procedures, health regulations, and company policies.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and create positive guest experiences.
• Build a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture.
• Step in to lead the restaurant whenever the General Manager is away.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Previous General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience preferred
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing labor, food cost, and restaurant financial performance
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
