Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations of our travel plaza in Kennebunk, ME. The role offers an entry‑level management path with a focus on leadership, customer service, and brand standards.

You will supervise staff, coach shift supervisors, and help drive sales while maintaining optimal guest experiences and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management skills to guide a team.
• Excellent customer service and positive attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication with business sense.
• 2+ years of quick service restaurant or similar management experience.
• Flexible schedule and ability to lift over 30 lbs.
• Basic food safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign work, and coach shift supervisors.
• Step in for the general manager when needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Motivate staff and maintain high morale during busy periods.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure restaurant cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy and inventory checks are performed regularly.
