Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Ohio is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Towpath Travel Plaza to help the General Manager run daily operations and develop the team.

You will oversee guest service, staff scheduling, brand standards, cash handling, and inventory, with opportunities to learn management skills and advance within the fast-paced, expanding Applegreen network.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for confidently delivering performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, coaching, and developing shift supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
• Motivate staff and positively influence morale during times of low spirits.
• Ensure cash management accuracy and daily reporting per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to maintain positive relationships.
