Bass Pro Shops in Paducah, KY, is hiring an Assistant General Manager to support the GM in merchandising and store operations, ensuring proper inventory, customer service, financial efficiency, and leadership development.

The AGM opens/closes, supervises departments, coordinates training, and oversees payroll and planning. A minimum of 5+ years in big-box management and strong leadership are required to drive a legendary customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in big-box, high-volume management with responsibility for one or more Sales Departments and Receiving or Front End experience.
• Ability to supervise multiple departments and coach associates to provide superior customer service.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and electronic POS and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and assume responsibility when the GM is away.
• Directly supervise Receiving, Customer Service, Maintenance and Sales Departments through Group Sales Managers.
• Coordinate training, approve performance appraisals, schedule weekly work, and motivate associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Communicates and implements advertising, pricing, and merchandising initiatives; maintains planograms; analyzes financial results.
• Develops and executes Sales/Payroll plans; oversees payroll and operating expenses; reports performance to GM.
