Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Kalispell, MT is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the GM in running store merchandising and operations for exceptional customer service and strong financial results.

You will oversee multiple departments, coordinate staffing and training, and ensure planograms and promotions are executed to maintain a premier outdoor retailer experience. A minimum of 5 years in big box management is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in big box, high volume management with responsibility for one or more Sales Departments and Receiving or Front End experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to train and coach associates.
• Ability to read and analyze reports, manage schedules, and drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; assume responsibility when GM is out.
• Supervise Receiving, Customer Service, Maintenance and Sales via Group Sales Managers.
• Coordinate interviewing, selection and training; approve performance appraisals; schedule staff.
• Ensure planograms, advertising, pricing and store presentation are executed.
• Monitor payroll, operating expenses and financial performance; audit reports and inventories.
