Job summary

Midwest Shooting Center is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of both the retail store and range floor, driving revenue growth and maintaining strict safety standards.

You’ll supervise inventory and pricing, train staff, ensure ATF/OSHA compliance, coordinate transactions, and motivate the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience while meeting company goals. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities.

• Train, coach, and hold staff accountable for service standards and range safety.
• Manage firearm transactions, including FFL transfers and 4473 completion.
• Monitor pricing, margins, and replenishment timing.
• Communicate membership and training opportunities with Guest Services.
• Act as Manager on Duty as needed to support operations.

Position Overview

As an Assistant General Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of both the retail store and range floor. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth, maintaining compliance and safety, and ensuring that every guest receives a professional and engaging experience. You’ll oversee inventory, pricing, staff training, and performance accountability—building a high-functioning retail team that consistently meets and exceeds company standards.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all retail and range operations to maximize revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the full retail lifecycle—from inventory intake and pricing to replenishment and accuracy.
• Maintain strong compliance with ATF, OSHA, and internal safety standards through regular audits and inspections.
• Train, coach, and hold retail associates accountable for service standards, product knowledge, and range safety.
• Manage firearm transaction accuracy, including FFL transfers and 4473 form completion.
• Monitor retail pricing, margin performance, and replenishment timing.
• Partner with Guest Services to identify and communicate membership and training opportunities.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, supporting the overall operation and guest experience.
