Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Lakeland, FL seeks an Assistant General Manager to train and support drive-in staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a safe, clean and efficient manner while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

You will assist the General Manager with duties, develop staffing schedules, monitor inventory and payroll records, and implement action plans to improve sales and customer satisfaction while upholding SONIC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience, preferably QSR.
• Ability to train and coach staff and direct staffing to meet service standards.
• Knowledge of labor laws and sanitation regulations; effective verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work a minimum of 5 days with 4 closing shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach and monitor Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to ensure all aspects of food service meet standards.
• Open/close duties and staffing level adjustments.
• Maintain inventory and place cost-controlled supply orders.
• Prepare payroll and employment records; develop action plans to address performance and sales trends.
• Hire restaurant staff to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
