Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Hoover, AL to translate our mission and values into excellent guest experiences. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to shape store actions, forecast labor, and develop Team Members in a fast-paced, guest‑driven environment.

You will learn competency-based leadership, manage schedules and inventory, and help drive profitability while supporting a positive work culture.

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within restaurant or hospitality.
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage schedules, labor, and costs while maintaining service standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
Oversee inventory, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
Support GM with scheduling, staffing, and addressing Team Member issues.
Lead by example in guest service and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Assist with financial reporting, sales tracking, and budget adherence.
Ensure proper cash handling and compliance with safety procedures.
