Job summary

CAVA – Brook Highlands is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to drive daily restaurant operations in Birmingham, AL. You will manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory while leading a team with training, coaching and performance feedback.

You will uphold food safety, quality, and service standards, supervise cost control and budgeting, and support financial reporting and special projects to boost guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and scheduling.
• Maintain food quality, service standards, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to protect profitability.
• Coach, train, and provide performance feedback to Team Members.
• Support staffing plans and shift coverage during busy periods.
• Address Team Member issues and promote a positive work environment.
• Aim to elevate guest experience and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Help drive guest satisfaction and loyalty initiatives.
• Lead by example in customer service and teamwork.
• Assist with financial reporting, sales tracking, and compliance.
