Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations and develop team skills. This entry-level management role offers learning opportunities in judgment, discretion, and hands-on leadership within our networks across the Northeast and Midwest.

The position emphasizes coaching, goal setting, and maintaining brand standards, with a focus on delivering strong customer service and efficient store performance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates and assign work to support store operations.
• Act in the absence of the general manager and maintain smooth operations.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards and operating procedures.
• Oversee cash management and daily reporting per company directives.
• Resolve customer issues and build long-term relationships.
• Monitor inventory with spot checks to ensure data accuracy.
