Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help run day-to-day operations, coaching staff and ensuring brand standards across locations. This entry-level management track offers learning opportunities and discretion in decision-making.

You will supervise associates, drive performance, resolve issues with customers, and help maintain cash controls and inventory accuracy, while supporting a fast-paced dining and retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates and coach shift supervisors.
• Step in in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Maintain leadership and organizational effectiveness.
• Address issues promptly and follow company policies.
• Ensure brand standards and procedures are followed.
• Keep the restaurant clean, inviting, and compliant with brand rules.
• Manage cash daily and deliver reports per directives.
• Address customer needs and build long-term relationships.
• Keep inventory data accurate with spot counts and checks.
