Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations at our Edison, NJ location. The role emphasizes strong leadership, team development, and exceptional guest service in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

You will work closely with the General Manager to meet performance targets, ensure standards, and coach staff across shifts. This is a hands-on management position with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading teams in quick-service or fast-casual environments.
• Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with business sense.
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices and compliance.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a QSR/restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and staff scheduling to meet performance targets.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members to improve productivity and service quality.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, policies, and safety regulations.
• Support General Manager in achieving sales, cost control, and guest satisfaction goals.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships.
• Assist in inventory management and cash handling procedures.
• Lead by example to motivate staff during peak and off-peak hours.
