Job summary

Hudson Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for a Zaxby’s location. You will support daily restaurant operations, lead shifts, and maintain high food quality, guest service, and safety standards.

You will coach Restaurant Directors and team members, assist with recruiting, onboarding and training, and build schedules to optimize labor and productivity. This role offers growth within a expanding restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Restaurant leadership experience required or preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coach and develop staff
• Ability to manage scheduling, inventory, labor and food-costs
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations
• Lead shifts and ensure staffing and operations run smoothly
• Maintain high standards for food quality, guest service, cleanliness, etc.
• Coach and develop Restaurant Directors and team members
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training and retention
• Build schedules to support business needs and labor productivity
• Help manage inventory, food costs, waste and variance
• Monitor performance and drive improvement plans
• Resolve guest and team-member concerns promptly and professionally
• Ensure food-safety and brand standards are followed
• Support new products, promotions and company initiatives
• Foster a positive, accountable, performance-driven culture
• Step in to lead when General Manager is unavailable
