Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services, located in Newburgh, NY, seeks an Assistant General Manager to help ensure smooth daily operations and develop entry-level managers.

You will lead shifts, provide feedback, coach supervisors, and uphold brand standards while delivering excellent customer service. This role offers growth in a fast-paced hospitality environment with flexible schedules and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Ensure day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning work, coaching, and developing shift supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure the restaurant always looks clean, inviting and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Ensure inventory data is correct by performing spot counts.
