CAVA - Meadow Commons in Newington, CT is seeking an Assistant General Manager to translate our mission and values into daily operations. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to drive store performance, schedules, forecasting, labor management and training.

You’ll oversee food quality, guest experience, inventory, cost control, and financial reporting while building a strong team and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant/hospitality.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager with daily restaurant operations including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory, supply ordering and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise, train and provide feedback to Team Members.
• Support scheduling and staffing and address team issues.
• Enhance guest experience and address customer concerns promptly.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and analyzing performance metrics.
• Support cash handling and compliance with financial procedures.
• Maintain food safety practices and team training on procedures.
• Handle administrative tasks like inventory records and action plans.
