Job summary

City Barbeque seeks an Assistant General Manager / Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen and food operations, acting as the Pit Boss for production planning and forecast accuracy.

You will hire, train and manage kitchen staff, ensure consistent recipe adherence, portion control, and quick, quality line execution, while maintaining health standards and supporting the front-of-house team for an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen leadership and staff development.
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality control.
• Ability to forecast production and manage inventory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen and food operations, act as Pit Boss for production and forecasting.
• Ensure recipes are followed, portions are correct, and line execution is fast and high quality.
• Hire and train kitchen staff, manage staffing levels and performance reviews.
• Maintain health department standards and audit readiness.
• Lead new product rollouts and coordinate with FOH team to support guest experience.
