Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking an Assistant General Manager to develop future leaders and collaborate with the General Manager to run the store and impact the team and community.

The AGM will focus on building a strong team, guest service, and achieving sales goals while maintaining Caribou’s core values and standards. This role emphasizes growth, leadership development, and responsible store leadership.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of prior restaurant/retail experience requiring strong customer service commitment and orientation.
• Ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the DOING of Team Member and Shift Leader with enthusiasm and excellence.
• Develops understanding of the business to GM level within a year.
• Creates connections that last beyond the interaction and teaches the team to do the same.
• Drives sales goals through speed and service.
• Leads on problem resolution with calm, professionalism, and listening to understand.
• Manages cash handling policies and store funds during shifts.
• Oversees orders, inventory, waste control and inventory rotation.
• Thinks holistically about store success beyond a single shift.
