Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Piscataway, NJ to help the General Manager run daily operations and develop leadership skills in entry-level managers.

The role emphasizes delivering performance feedback, coaching, and achieving store-level objectives while maintaining brand standards and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign tasks, coach shifts supervisors.
• Act in the absence of the general manager to maintain operations.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during busy or challenging times.
• Ensure brand standards and procedures are followed to maximize consistency.
• Handle customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through spot counts and checks.
