Job summary

801 Chophouse Tyson's Corner is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our front-of-house leadership team at the renowned steakhouse in Tyson's Corner, VA. The role oversees restaurant operations, wine program, and staff performance in a high-end dining environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive restaurant management experience, strong hospitality skills, and a passion for fine service. Competitive compensation includes base salary plus a Management Bonus program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years, preferably 5, restaurant management experience in a fine dining establishment.
• Proficiency in restaurant accounting & financial systems.
• Advanced knowledge of beer/wine/spirits is required.
• Experience managing a beverage/wine program is preferred.
• Experience in restaurant marketing/sales/business development is preferred.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and use good judgment under pressure.
• Must be available to work any day of the week, including evenings, weekends & some holidays.
• Regular, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM/Chef with operations management, including wine program and bar operations.
• Manage FOH labor, food cost, pour cost and other operating expenses to stay aligned with standards.
• Ensure SOPs and HR policies are followed.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings with co-managers and staff.
• Assist with recruitment of FOH staff.
