Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help run day-to-day store operations and mentor a team across the mission of Refreshing Travelers on their Journey. You will oversee guest service, product quality, and compliance with brand standards, while supporting the General Manager in achieving performance goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service excellence, and operational discipline in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates and coach shift supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Ensure brand standards and company policies are followed.
• Maintain cash management and inventory controls, and report per directives.
• Address customer needs and build long-term relationships.
