Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Roanoke, VA to lead daily restaurant operations, train staff, and manage scheduling. You’ll drive performance, uphold brand standards, and resolve issues to deliver great guest experiences.

Responsibilities include coaching the team, controlling costs, ensuring food safety, and supporting growth initiatives with the Managing Partner. Minimum 1 year AGM experience preferred; must be 18+.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in food service or retail with profit and loss responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close the restaurant at least two nights a week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations while upholding Sonic standards and policies.
• Support the Managing Partner by leading the team in training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Manage inventory, ensure food safety compliance, and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Oversee financial responsibilities, including cash handling and expense control.
• Partner with the Managing Partner to drive growth initiatives and protect Sonic’s brand reputation.
