Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in North Brunswick Township, NJ, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead day-to-day operations at our travel plaza. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure excellent service, smooth store performance, and adherence to brand standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of quick service or restaurant management experience, strong leadership, outstanding customer service, and the ability to motivate a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff and coach shift supervisors.
• Step in for the General Manager when needed.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and brand standards are followed.
• Maintain cash management and nightly reports.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Verify inventory counts and accuracy.
