Job summary

Equinox Fitness Club in Rancho Palos Verdes is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations of the Palos Verdes club, ensuring guest service, safety, and brand standards. You will hire, train, and manage Front Desk, Maintenance, and Kids' club teams, optimize schedules and payroll, and drive performance against monthly goals.

Qualities include 1-3 years of management, strong communication, financial oversight, and a bachelor’s degree preferred; the role offers competitive salary

Qualifications

• Proven leadership abilities with 1–3 years of management experience in an operational environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High touch customer service experience preferred.
• Effective time management and follow-up skills.
• Financial management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Influence and inspire a dynamic workforce.
• Interview, hire, train, and manage Front Desk, Maintenance, and Kids' club departments; develop schedules and payroll budgets.
• Complete staff performance evaluations monthly and annually.
• Adhere to monthly ordering timelines and supply budgets.
• Ensure high-level customer service to club members.
• Support ancillary departments and sales in partnership with General Manager.
• Monitor monthly departmental goals and projections.
• Ensure club cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
• Maintain risk management and loss prevention procedures; monitor safety and security.
• Facilitate other projects as delegated by the General Manager.
• Willing to relocate/transfer and work flexible schedules as business needs require.
