Job summary

Fine Fettle is seeking an Assistant General Manager for our dispensary to assist the General Manager in guiding daily operations. You will lead multiple teams, balance front- and back-of-house duties, and ensure objectives are met while maintaining a strong store culture.

The role requires experience managing retail teams, a high school diploma, and flexibility for evenings and weekends. Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older (state requirement).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in retail or business management.
• Experience leading diverse customer-facing teams.
• Flexibility for evenings and weekends.
• Cannabis market experience valued but not required.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Ability to analyze store operations and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM to ensure store operations run smoothly and goals are achieved.
• Manage team leads across dispensary and back-/front-of-house areas.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to optimize inventory purchasing and management.
• Foster a positive store culture and maintain high team morale.
• Oversee budget-conscious execution of goals and projects.
• Recruit and train store staff; conduct performance reviews and promotions.
• Monitor KPIs and data to identify improvement areas and implement changes.
• Identify infrastructure or equipment needs and coordinate repairs.
• Develop store strategic goals with GM to drive business outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and ensure timely execution by staff.
