Advance Auto Parts in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations, coach a team of 10–20 associates, and drive sales goals while upholding service standards.

The role includes managing DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs, ensuring safety, scheduling, inventory control, and accurate pricing through POS and parts lookup systems, all while delivering a best‑in‑class customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of retail leadership experience.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L awareness.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop a team of 10–20 associates on floor and in backroom
• Oversee scheduling, coaching, safety, opening/closing duties
• Manage DIY services including battery and wiper installs
• Handle escalated customer issues with a focus on satisfaction
• Maintain inventory accuracy and drive store profitability
• Operate POS and parts lookup systems to ensure quick service
