Job summary
Advance Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a busy store in the New York area. You will review P&L statements, deliver GAS3 selling experiences to DIY and DIFM customers, and drive personal and store sales goals and service outcomes.
The role includes supervising DIY services (battery installations, testing, wiper installs), ensuring top-notch customer service, and fulfilling manager-on-duty duties, safety, and scheduling responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s preferred in business or related field.
- Strong automotive knowledge and customer service skills.
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze P&L statements.
- Provide GAS3 selling experience for DIY and DIFM customers.
- Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives.
- Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
- Ensure high standards of customer service including prompt handling of complaints.
- Manager on duty responsibilities (coaching, floor/phone mgmt., tasks)
- Weekly scheduling process.
