Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Newark, NJ seeks a General Manager to lead a high-volume store, drive sales, and grow Professional Customer relationships. You will oversee hiring, coaching, inventory, and store operations while maintaining service standards and safety. The role requires long hours, weekend coverage, and a focus on profitability.

Strong leadership, automotive knowledge, and ability to interpret P&L and reports are essential. ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to manage profitability and understand business metrics (P&L).
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve store sales goals and service objectives.
• Build and manage Professional Customer relationships and action plans.
