KidStrong in Austin seeks an Assistant General Manager to be the second-in-command to the General Manager, driving center growth, inspiring our coaching staff, and delivering an exceptional experience for kids and families.

You will lead sales efforts, coach teams, manage daily operations, and ensure top-tier customer service. Hands-on coaching (5–10 hours/week) complements leadership duties in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching kids age 15 months to 11 years is preferred.
• High-volume outbound calling experience required.
• Strong leadership and teamwork with a growth mindset.

What You’ll Do

1. Sales & Growth

• Lead member acquisition by conducting outbound call drives (75–100 calls/day) to new and interested leads.


• Finalize trial sales and memberships both over the phone and in-center.


• Sell and schedule revenue-boosting events, including Spring/Summer camps, birthday parties, and community pop-ups.

2. Team Leadership & Coaching Culture

• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the General Manager is off.


• Partner with the GM to onboard, train, evaluate, and mentor coaches using the KidStrong Coach DNA framework.


• Foster a feedback-rich coaching culture (\"see something, say something\") and model high standards across Slack, email, and center operations.


• Manage the Lead Coach/Sales Manager.

3. Center Operations & Experience

• Track center KPIs, sales numbers, and member retention to make smart operational decisions.


• Deliver top-tier customer service, resolving family inquiries and maintaining strong community relationships.


• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly center maintenance, equipment safety, and brand standards.

4. Hands-On Coaching (5–10 Hours/Week)

• Deliver the KidStrong curriculum focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development for kids ages 15 months to 11 years.


• Use the KS Coaches App to track attendance, awards, and student progress.

Who You Are

• Child Development & Athletic Background: Prior coaching/sports experience working with kids (ages 15 mos – 11 yrs) is a must. Pediatric OT/PT experience is a major plus!


• Driven Sales Mindset: Comfortable making high-volume outbound phone calls, closing sales, and hitting performance goals.
