Job summary

KidStrong Katy is seeking an Assistant General Manager to drive center growth, inspire coaches, and deliver an exceptional experience for kids and families. You’ll lead sales efforts, manage events, and oversee daily operations in a fast-paced, kid-focused center.

The role combines leadership with hands-on coaching (5–10 hrs/week) and requires high energy, a growth mindset, and comfort with outbound sales to build a thriving community around KidStrong’s brain, physical, and character programs.

Qualifications

• Coaching/sports experience with kids ages 15 months to 11 years is required.
• High-volume outbound sales experience and hitting performance goals are essential.
• Strong leadership with ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Ability to work in an active center environment and stay energized.

Responsibilities

• Lead member acquisition through outbound calls (75–100/day) and finalize trial sales.
• Sell and schedule events (camps, parties, community pop-ups) to boost revenue.
• Act as Manager on Duty when GM is off and mentor coaches using the KidStrong framework.
• Manage Lead Coach/Sales Manager and track KPIs for steady center growth.
• Deliver hands-on coaching (5–10 hours/week) focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development.

What You’ll Do

1. Sales & Growth

• Lead member acquisition by conducting outbound call drives (75–100 calls/day) to new and interested leads.


• Finalize trial sales and memberships both over the phone and in-center.


• Sell and schedule revenue-boosting events, including Spring/Summer camps, birthday parties, and community pop-ups.

2. Team Leadership & Coaching Culture

• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the General Manager is off.


• Partner with the GM to onboard, train, evaluate, and mentor coaches using the KidStrong Coach DNA framework.


• Foster a feedback-rich coaching culture ("see something, say something") and model high standards across Slack, email, and center operations.

• Manage the Lead Coach/Sales Manager.

3. Center Operations & Experience

• Track center KPIs, sales numbers, and member retention to make smart operational decisions.


• Deliver top-tier customer service, resolving family inquiries and maintaining strong community relationships.


• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly center maintenance, equipment safety, and brand standards.

4. Hands-On Coaching (5–10 Hours/Week)

• Deliver the KidStrong curriculum focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development for kids ages 15 months to 11 years.


• Use the KS Coaches App to track attendance, awards, and student progress.

Who You Are

• Child Development & Athletic Background: Prior coaching/sports experience working with kids (ages 15 mos – 11 yrs) is a must. Pediatric OT/PT experience is a major plus!


• Driven Sales Mindset: Comfortable making high-volume outbound phone calls, closing sales, and hitting performance goals.


• Natural Leader: You lead by example, bring high energy, and embrace a growth, low-ego mindset ("Best Idea Wins!").


• Physically Active: Comfortable working in an active environment (moving through classes, setting up equipment up to 25 lbs, and physically engaging with kids).


• Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Google Workspace/Microsoft platforms and comfortable learning systems like LearnUpon, ADP, CareerPlug, or CRM software.


• Certified: CPR certified (or willing to obtain) and ready to complete KidStrong HQ Coach Certification.

Schedule & Location

• Schedule: Typically 4 weekdays + 1 weekend shift (dependent on center needs).


• Location: In-Person at KidStrong Katy (Katy, TX).
