HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager at the Chicago Airport location to tactically execute restaurant operations. You will ensure cleanliness, readiness, staffing, and adherence to high standards while guiding a team across shifts.

You will review financial and operational data, supervise associates, and promote HMSHost as an employer of choice in the local community. This exempt role reports to the GM/Director of Operations and requires a rotating on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum of 6 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Requires ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and policy documents; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Assists GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a unit.
• Interviews job candidates and makes hiring/advancement decisions for associates within the unit.
• Monitors progress towards unit goals and assigns staff to meet objectives.
• Manages day-to-day activities of associates within the unit and ensures shifts are covered.
