Job summary

Mama Bird Southern Kitchen in West Jordan is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead front-of-house operations across breakfast through dinner. You will motivate staff, maintain service standards, and ensure a warm, memorable guest experience.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in restaurant management, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality. Experience with Toast POS is a plus, and flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Friendly, positive attitude with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with Toast POS systems and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee FOH operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
• Motivate and manage servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff.
• Maintain high service standards and exceptional guest experiences.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and warmth.
• Create daily floor plans, manage shift staffing, and support scheduling.
• Coordinate smoothly with BOH leadership during busy periods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming dining environment.
• Train and develop FOH team members.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance.

As our AGM , you'll help lead all front-of-house operations and help create an exceptional dining experience every time our guests walk through the door.

Pay Rate:

$55,000 - $60,000 depending on experience
