Job summary

The Living Room at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, FL, is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead the front-of-house operations and elevate the guest experience. You will work closely with the culinary team to deliver excellence from entry to departure, guiding the team with a culture of accountability and hospitality.

We seek a hands-on leader with 3+ years of restaurant leadership, strong communication, and a passion for guest service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership in a $4M+ restaurant or bar.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and inspire FOH staff with a focus on performance and retention.
• Create smart, efficient schedules for peak coverage.
• Enforce safety and quality protocols for consistency and compliance.
• Lead pre-shifts, monthly staff meetings, and trainings.

About The Role
As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front-of-house team. You’ll lead by example, foster a culture of hospitality and accountability, and ensure our guests enjoy a seamless, elevated experience from the moment they walk through the door.
You’ll be working in lockstep with our culinary team to deliver excellence in every area—from execution and cleanliness to team morale and guest satisfaction. We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to lead, who takes ownership, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment built on trust and high standards.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Hiring, training, and inspiring FOH staff with a focus on performance and retention
• Creating smart, efficient schedules that place the right people in the right roles, at the right times
• Supporting and maintaining standards through Fusion Prep and other tools
• Enforcing all safety and quality protocols to ensure consistency and compliance
• Leading pre-shifts, monthly staff meetings, and regular trainings
• Driving financial performance through effective labor and cost control
• Working closely with culinary leadership to ensure alignment and execution

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a $4M+ restaurant or bar
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• A coach's mentality—supportive, direct, and committed to high standards
• Passion for hospitality and the guest experience
• Familiarity with tools like Toast POS, Restaurant365, and Fusion Prep (preferred)
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• A sense of urgency paired with professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail
• ServSafe certification is a plus
