Hotel Indigo - Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily hotel operations. You will supervise staff, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and help drive overall property performance.

The right candidate brings at least 2 years of hotel management experience at AGM or FOM level, strong leadership and communication skills, a customer‑service mindset, and the ability to work under pressure, including nights and weekends.

Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the hotel. They will assist in managing staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and optimizing hotel performance.

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hotel management experience at the AGM or FOM level with an emphasis on guest service, team member development and training, organization and detail‑oriented and ensuring guest satisfaction at every level. The candidate must also have the following skills:

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in daily operations
• Supervise and manage hotel staff
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Oversee the financial performance of the hotel
• Implement strategies to optimize hotel performance
• The ideal candidate must be high-energy and have the ability to think outside the box
• Additional responsibilities include support of the housekeeping operation, assistance with payroll and human resources, maintenance, and food and beverage operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in hotel management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules based on business levels including nights and weekends as needed
• Possess the ability to understand budgets, staffing models and cost controls
