Job summary

VP Management is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee hotel operations, maximize profitability, and ensure superior service and product quality. This hands-on role reports to the General Manager and requires managing day-to-day activities, planning, delegating, training staff, and enforcing company policies to maintain standards.

The position also drives Front Desk performance, coordinates with housekeeping, maintains safety standards, and ensures preventative maintenance of hotel

Qualifications

• Proficient with computers, and have a strong background in the Hospitality industry.
• Previous Front Desk and/or hotel experience required.
• 2-4 years management experience.
• Must have FULL availability.

• Initiate disciplinary, or other staff related actions in accordance with company policies.

• Ensure a sage and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets. Comply with our corporate Health and Safety programs.
• This position reports directly to the General Manager of the hotel, as this is a hands on position the AGM will be required to conduct his or her responsibilities while playing an active role with the Front Desk operations.

Job Responsibilities

Advise staff of formal policies and procedures, identify options and resolve issues. Initiate disciplinary, or other staff related actions in accordance with company policies.

Ensure that hotel quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance, and cleanliness; establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect e h physical assets of the hotel.

Ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.

Ensure a sage and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets. Comply with our corporate Health and Safety programs.

This position reports directly to the General Manager of the hotel, as this is a hands on position the (AGM) will be required to conduct his or her responsibilities while playing an active role with the Front Desk operations.
