Tharaldson Hospitality Management is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations in Hanover, MD, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational efficiency. Qualifications

• 1+ year hotel leadership experience in a Select Service or Extended Stay property.
• F&B experience with similar hotel brand.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and ordering.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the hotel to ensure outstanding guest service and operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members while promoting a positive work environment.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing hotel associates, including brand and safety training.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
• Conduct or assist with team meetings and ongoing staff communication.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives and assist with group and travel agent requests.
• Perform General Manager duties in the GM's absence.

Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel while helping deliver exceptional guest experiences, leading team members, and ensuring operational excellence. Preferred

• Brand experience (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, or similar).
• Associate degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
