Job summary

Resolute Road Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Astoria, OR to lead daily hotel operations with a focus on guest satisfaction, team development, and operational excellence. You will support the General Manager in driving results, fostering teamwork, and ensuring smooth execution across departments.

This role emphasizes integrity, growth, and a customer-first culture, with opportunities to influence revenue and profitability while maintaining our distinctive hospitality

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality.
• Previous hotel brand experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and front desk departments.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards while maintaining Resolute Road Hospitality’s culture.
• Lead with integrity, empathy, and accountability.
• Build a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and empowerment.
• Partner with the General Manager to set and communicate goals and expectations.
• Lead by example to create a workplace where team members feel appreciated and inspired.
• Monitor and optimize property performance metrics, including labor and expense controls.
• Support strategic business plans to drive revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
• Engage with clients and community partners to support sales and marketing efforts.
• Recruit, hire, and train top talent with a focus on culture fit and growth potential.
• Conduct regular department meetings to align teams and celebrate successes.
• Motivate and retain team members through recognition and development.
• Manage employee relations with fairness and a solution-focused mindset.
• Respond to guest and employee feedback with professionalism and care.
• Be visible and engaged with guests to build relationships and ensure memorable experiences.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems
• Experience with brand systems preferred

Education & Experience

• Associate degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
