Job summary

Resolute Road Hospitality in Astoria, OR is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Tech to service guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You’ll collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to respond quickly to issues and promote safe, clean environments on the waterfront property.

The ideal candidate brings basic building-system understanding and a team-oriented mindset, with a focus on reliable, proactive upkeep and safety adherence in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• General understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to learn and advance technical skills with supervision.
• Familiarity with safe use of hand tools, power equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Clear and courteous communication skills.
• Time management and prioritization of maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and pride in work.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance and repair tasks across the hotel’s interior and exterior areas.
• Walk the property to inspect cleanliness, condition, and safety.
• Maintain working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and shuttle vehicle systems.
• Respond to guest service requests and reported issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Support pool and spa maintenance, including chemical testing and logbook upkeep.
• Assist with inspections, preventative maintenance routines, and safety compliance tasks.
• Maintain clean and safe maintenance spaces and tools; monitor inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Report and elevate equipment failures, unsafe conditions, or guest-related concerns.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep in public areas such as hallways, stairwells, elevators, and service corridors.
• Support shuttle transportation needs when required (valid driver’s license).
• Follow company and brand standards, OSHA safety practices, and local codes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Tech, you'll perform routine maintenance, complete repair work, and support the upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You'll work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to ensure timely responses to issues and proactive care for hotel systems. This role is ideal for someone who brings Grit to every task, works Stronger Together with the team, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do
