Description
Position: Assistant General Counsel

Monogram is seeking anAssistant General Counselto act in anin-house attorneyrole that will reportto theAssociate General Counsel | Chief Commercial and Regulatory Counselof Monogram Health, Inc. andwill bea key member of the legal team. This role is a generalist position that will require judgment, multi-taskingand both strategic and "in-the-weeds" work. The ideal candidate will havepreviousin-house experience and/or four or more years' experience at a leading corporate law firm. This attorney willbe responsible forcontracting and transaction initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have broad familiarity with the laws and regulations governing the activities of the company, a strong professional presence, and the demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate contracts.

Responsibilities:
  • Negotiating and drafting agreements and contracts on behalf of the company, including commercial vendor contracts, client agreements, leases and technology licenses
  • Offering counsel on a variety of legal and compliance issues, including healthcare regulatory matters (especially privacy issues); contractual matters, including potential risks and liabilities; corporate organization; and litigation management
  • Collaborating with senior executives and departments within the company on important strategic initiatives
  • Researching and anticipating unique legal and healthcare regulatory/compliance issues that couldimpactthe company
  • Using independent judgement to **escalate** important legal and compliance issues to the company's governing body
Key Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in good standing.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/ commercial issues
  • Managed care experience is required, in particular negotiation of value-based care agreements, minimum 1-2 years of experience
  • General knowledge of healthcare regulatory law, in particular fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA and privacy matters, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid obligations, and corporate practice of medicine
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization across all businesses
