Jobgether is partnering with a globally operating organization seeking an Assistant General Counsel based in the United States. You will provide strategic legal guidance across US labor and employment matters and serve as the primary advisor on workforce issues, collaborating with HR, deputies, and external counsel.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Current license to practice law in the United States, in good standing.
• At least 5 years of legal practice experience in US labor and employment law.
• Experience advising HR on day-to-day employment matters, investigations and litigation.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and implementing employment-related agreements and policies.
• Experience with international labor and employment law is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on US labor and employment law across recruitment, hiring, agreements, compensation, performance, discipline, terminations, and workforce reductions.
• Advise on accommodations, leave, wage/hour compliance, investigations, discrimination, harassment, and litigation matters.
• Draft, review, and support employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, confidentiality/non-compete, contractor agreements, licenses, releases, and corporate documents.
• Maintain and improve employment templates, policies, and handbooks for consistency and compliance.
• Develop and manage compliance and risk strategies, including manager training.
• Coordinate with external US counsel and international colleagues on cross-border matters.
• Monitor federal/state/local employment law changes and advise on impact.
• Undertake additional legal responsibilities and projects as assigned.
