Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC in Wisconsin seeks an Assistant Food Safety & Quality Coordinator to join the Countryside FSQ Team. This role carries ownership for food safety and quality decisions within a high‑volume sausage manufacturing environment, protecting consumers and ensuring regulatory and company compliance.

You will partner with Operations, Sanitation, Supply Chain, and Leadership to drive food safety performance, coach FSQ staff, and build a culture of accountability and proactive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology or a related field is required.
• 2–4 years in a quality leadership role desirable.
• Experience with meat/poultry processing or similar high‑volume manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make independent food safety and quality decisions for a complex manufacturing and distribution campus.
• Maintain HACCP documentation and regulatory compliance across multiple areas.
• Lead audits and coordinate corrective actions and preventive controls.
• Coach FSQ staff and build bench strength within the team.
• Partner with Operations, Sanitation, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and Leadership to improve performance.
