Job summary

Johnsonville seeks an Assistant Food Safety & Quality Coordinator to join the Riverside FSQ Team. You will own food safety decisions, maintain HACCP docs, and lead audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role involves driving quality across production, supporting new product launches, and coaching the FSQ Technician. The position offers growth in leadership, exposure to line start-ups, and collaboration with Operations, Reliability Excellence, and other functions to enhance safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a quality leadership position is desired.
• Experience in meat/poultry processing preferred; familiarity with USDA/FSIS expectations.

Responsibilities

• Own and make timely food safety and quality decisions for the facility, including product disposition and regulatory alignment.
• Maintain HACCP documentation and ensure pre-shipments are reviewed.
• Lead audits and document corrective actions; represent FSQ on cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain SOPs to support product safety, quality, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations and other teams to identify and implement process improvements.
