Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager for the Grand Hyatt Washington. You will oversee colleagues and guest interactions, ensuring high satisfaction and seamless front desk operations at our 902-room hotel in DC.

The role focuses on supervising front office staff, training, payroll, scheduling, and cost controls, with responsibility for guest surveys and collaboration with other departments. Growth opportunities are available in a globally recognized hotel group.

Qualifications

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of one year previous front office supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule any day of the week including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to handle cash responsibly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring efficient guest registration, checkout, guest service, and telephone service, while ensuring all brand standards are being applied.
  • Training and development of colleagues, payroll, scheduling, recognition, and coaching.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the front office systems and equipment to ensure their optimum performance.
  • Tracking guest satisfaction surveys and maximizing usage of the guest response tracking system.
  • Providing training for entry level colleagues and supervisors.
  • Developing and implementing controls for expense management.
  • Utilizing labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
  • Coordinating activities with other hotel departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest experiences.
  • Anticipating and resolving guest concerns.
  • Manage additional revenue generating opportunities.
  • Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.

The Assistant Front Office Manager will have oversight over colleagues and guests, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and care.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating activities with other hotel departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.

Assisting in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest experiences.

Anticipating and resolving guest concerns.

  • Manage additional revenue generating opportunities.
  • Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $58,800 to $66,100 (commensurate with experience).
